August 19th/20th 2026 - (I started late and stayed up past midnight) I worked on making the homepage look good, since the image border is pictures of flowers, I figured I might as well make the main content look a bit like the sky (Another option was to make it look earthy, but I like bright colors too much for that) I'm unsure about how well the flowers go with it, but I might change those in the future. I split the site into two div sections, 'About The Site' and 'About Me' (So I can add images to each easier in the future) I made the Site section a gradient that made it seem like it was going from midday to evening, and then I made the Me section into a gradient that looks like it's going from evening to night. Then I used borders, margins, and padding to make them look like they were only one section [As always the fact that the css takes forever to update is a nuisance. It's like it takes an hour (or at least 10 minutes) to update the first time, then it's instant. Unless! You wait too long to update the css and then you need to wait another hour before the site shows you what you're doing] . I also made the nav bar, I made that one look like the sunrise, where the links were pink clouds (and when you hover they look like thunderclouds!!), I hope to put them on proper images soon. Afterwards I copy and pasted a default navbar to every other page (and styled the changelog's), just so it's easier to navigate the site while I'm still working on it (To do this I had to undo my entire filing system since apparently the code doesn't like trying to navigate between files without a very explicit path. Which makes sense, I'm just annoyed about it). I'm gonna write the text for the homepage once I'm less tired (hopefully tomorrow) and then add sky images to the page as soon as I find/make them
August 18th 2026 - I updated way later than I should've after deciding to restart, I drew a layout that I wanted to try and accomplish that... using images. I wanted there to be a repeating image that went down both sides of the site with a text bubble in the middle, but css is a bit finicky with images (at least I think so) so trying to figure out how to do that was... a struggle (and it didn't help that FOR SOME REASON neocities takes like an hour to update a sites css, so I was just fumbling around and changing things with no feedback >:[ ) I got it to work though! And I think it looks pretty cool at the moment :3 (On a sidenote, it also looks good on mobile since I used percentages rather than pixels, which is nice). I'm currently trying to figure out what colors go with pink and green without being too samey or having too much contrast
August 11th 2026 - I wasn't sure where to go from my old site so I completely overhauled the look of it, I moved what I coded before into a different html file and then deleted what was in the index file before so I could restart. I thought more about what I wanted the site to be and created new folders for each 'page' I wanted, then I started this new changelog and styled it (though at the moment no one can access it since I haven't created a nav bar yet)
July 4th 2026 - Changed the background to be a fun little gradient!! Also added this changes list
August 4th 2026 - Changed the dimensions of the neocities png and added alt text for it
August 6th 2026 - Made a table and messed with its cols and rows
August 7th 2026 - Made a form type thingy :3 (you should try it!!)
